Re-thrifted

For all of my thrifters out there you’re going to feel me on this one.

It’s honestly one of my favorite things to do. Simply because it gets my creative juices flowing. There are times you come across items that fit perfectly, are the color you’re looking for, and the right material. But 90% of the time you don’t.

This is exactly why I love thrifting. It gives me projects and challenges that always come out great and nobody else has it. If you haven’t tried it already I promise you’re missing out.

Here’s some of the stuff I rethrifted and made them my own. I don’t have before pictures for some of them, but you get the idea.

Before x After. Don’t get me wrong I like turtlenecks but I literally look like a turtle in them. Lol ( pants are Levi’s)

Here’s some jeans. They’re by Lee, but I took the tags and emblems off cause they were ugly. I distressed them, threw them in the washer and they came out like this.

Loved the print, but it was soooooo big. So I made it smaller and a tad bit shorter.  It’ll be useful once summer rolls around.

And there you go!

Midi Skirts

Some skirts I put together initially because a friend asked me to make a couple for her. These aren’t all of them, but take a look see. (Excuse the wrinkles lol)

Fuuurrrr

One of the best parts of winter fashion. (heart eyes)

Fur is one of the easiest ways to winter up looks from fall and spring. Plus it keeps you warm at the same time. From shoes to jackets, I found some lovely pieces to put in your closet this winter. Let me know what you like!

Impromptu outing

So. Whathadhappenedwas I finally had a chance to shoot my grad photos yesterday and somewhat stumbled upon the perfect Sunday Funday.

If you ever have the chance to visit downtown San Antonio, I suggest The Pearl Brewery area, it’s my absolute favorite place to go. As we were snapping pictures, we noticed there was a farmers market set up as well as live music. We couldn’t resist taking a well needed break to check it all out.

Turns out, the market sets up shop every Saturday and Sunday, selling yummy goodies and nic nacks. (I’m a sucker for nic nacks) We sampled lots of pastries and yogurts & ran into a little place that sold stuffed patties, which I later found out are called empanadas lol. They were so good! We ordered the “come y calla” and sampled one of the chicken patties. This particular company is based outside of Austin in Dripping Springs if you’re ever in the area.

Then as we’re walking, we got the pleasure of running into the newly built Hotel Emma. I wish I could have taken pictures of everything, but I would have been there forever. A majority of the food places were closed, but they had the most adorable grocery store inside, Larder.

I absolutely died. It was the cutest little shop, with mostly local and organic products. Some of the stuff even included things from the farmers market. And right across the hall was a bar/lounge/lobby that was gorgeous!

We didn’t stay, we ended up finishing up the shoot and eating at GS1221, a place close by, which was also really chill.

Long story short. Go visit all of these places. You’ll fall in love I promise!

Pick ups

Can we take a second to love my new nail polish! Initially I went looking for a dark green & ran across this color. The shade is Chameleon by Revlon if you want to go search for it. Revlon, by far has the best nail polish when it comes to drug store brands. It has a great consistency and they’re very pigmented. (And dry pretty quickly) I would recommend them over Essie.

In the same trip I also picked up this soap which I am obsessed with. Shea moisture has some really great products, this by far is my fav. It smells great and is supposed to be paraban free and contain only natural ingredients. Whether or not you can trust that idk, but when you use it you can definitely notice a difference.

Go try them and let me know what you think!

Balmain x H&M

Balmain has been the latest kraze since seeing it on recent celebrities like Kylie and Kendall Jenner. So you can imagine how crazy H&M lovers went when the Balmain collection launched this past Wednesday. So crazy that the site crashed and sold out instantly.
